Can you imagine a world without backpacks? Neither can we. Yet it wasn't long ago that they were strictly outdoor gear. One fall in the late sixties, the JanSport team heard that students were using the brand's small cross country daypacks to cross campus instead. It made sense with comfortable padded straps, and easy access front panel opening and catch resistant nylon zippers the bags were just as great for carrying books as they were for carrying gear. Seeing the potential the team made a few notebook worthy design adjustments including the addition of a durable vinyl base to improve weight capacity. Soon after, JanSport began selling the first ever campus backpacks into college bookstores around the country.
JanSport is a brand of backpacks owned by VF Corporation, one of the world's largest apparel companies. The company was founded in 1967 in Seattle, Washington by Jan Lewis (for whom the company is named) and Murray Pletz.

I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone who likes this style of backpack. The colors match exactly as shown and there is plenty of room in it. I plan to use it for school in January and won have any problem fitting all my notebooks and some textbooks in it. It has many pockets to keep stuff organized and is real cushioned. And the delivery was exceptional-- ordered it on Monday night from ebags and received it Wednesday around noon not even 2 days later. Great bag
I purchased this for my daughter, who already pretty much destroyed the messenger bag she got for school this year. She wanted somehing with skulls on it, and this was nice looking. Ordered this on a Sunday - had it on Tuesday. I was impressed with the speedy turnaround. I got it in time for my trip! I bought this for my 10 year old who just finished 4th grade. When i got it i was worried that it may be to big for her, but she thinks it is the perfect size. She was able to fit her big 3 inch binder, several big books and notebooks plus have room for other stuff. This bag was exactly what I was hoping for. Big pockets with a few smaller pocets Two on the sides, one on the inside if the large front pocet with two other slots for pencils or anything else you could think of. One water bottle pocket on the side and on the inside of the main pocket is a separator for your books and compute. And one more pocket in the front of the flap. The strap is comfortible. I use this bag for many things, I take my computer with me everywhere, so I can fit my computer, books, camera, pencils, jeanes, PJs, shoes sandels and my skechers, Walet, food, movies and I still have a little room left for anything else I can think of.

Fantastic bag with tons of room
Im a college student, taking four classes this semester. And it so happens that all four of my classes are on the same days, so I have to haul 4 classes worth of textbooks with me. Ive bought Jansport backpacks before and have never been disappointed, and this backpack is no different.
First of all, this bag has a ton of pockets. There is room for all of my extras, keys, wallet, laptop, pens, highlighters, Kindle, etc. Plus there are pockets on the sides to hold my water bottle.
Inside, I can fit all of my books, two 3 subject notebooks, and a folder with room leftover. Its perfect.
What I like also is the clasp closure of the flap. I specifically looked for a messenger bag that did not utilize velcro as a closure, since velcro wears out and with the amount of books that I needed to carry, I wasn sure velcro would hold. I don have to worry about it with the clasps.
The laptop compartment inside is slightly padded, but I would not feel comfortable putting my computer in there without more protection. I have a 11.6 netbook and I bought a separate sleeve for added padding.

5/5 Excellent for a university student in a busy world
The best bag I have ever owned in my life. I have no regrets purchasing this product as I dont see any here in Trinidad. When I received it via DHL today I was real impressed.
Features:
1 Very spacious and lots of room for books, stationary and most of all yes a lap top compartment and you know we students in this day and age love to carry around our lap tops with us anywhere on campus.
2 It has several compartments big, small and medium so you can put your staionary, diskettes, cds, lap top plug, cell phones, ipod,university badges, laptop/pc earplugs and water bottle yep very very good indeed for a water lover ; wink, wink.
3 The pink daquiri is really funky yet sophisticated and sassy for todays student or modern person. the skull heads are in white and clay colours but are nicely camoflouged in the roses and colours. The handle is striped to blend in with this unique design.
4 The long main strap has a shoulder protection pad which is cushiony and long enough to adjust to people of different builts and bone structure.
5 Most of all it has an entire shock absorbant padded area to the entire back of the bag for laptops and whatever valuables you cherish.
